Vitamin B1 (also known as thiamine) is a water soluble vitamin, first isolated from rice husks by Casimir Fun in 1912. Cure beriberi (weight loss, damage to the heart muscle dystrophy, nerve interference). Thiamine is a necessary substance for digestion of fats, the normal course of growth and function of the heart and nervous system.
