Vitamin B1 (also known as thiamine) is a water soluble vitamin, first isolated from rice husks by Casimir Fun in 1912. Cure beriberi (weight loss, damage to the heart muscle dystrophy, nerve interference). Thiamine is a necessary substance for digestion of fats, the normal course of growth and function of the heart and nervous system. As was dissolved in water, does not accumulate in the body and is not toxic. Its absence in the body leads to damage to the nervous and cardiovascular system. Vitamin B1 is contained in radishes, rice flakes, peanuts, egg yolks, cereals, oatmeal , eggs and more. Tiaminpirofosfatat (TPF) is the active form of thiamine.
Another purpose is for the treatment of alcoholism, burns, gastrectomy, bowel disease, cirrhosis and hepatic dysfunction, hyperthyroidism, severe infectious diseases.
